Durring our first acting class we did different practises, so we could learn important things, such as staging. We were paired up with someone in the class and our job was to pose the other person based on a given word / character to us. For example, I had to pose my partner as a conductor, and when everyone was done with the 'scuplting' they had to guess what they were.
Later that lesson, we were put into groups of 3 and practised staging. Our job was to quickly come up with a story and create a sequence of 3 'pictures' which tells a story. For example, we came up with the story of a secret agent / spy kidnapping and escape, and we had to tell the story by posing in a way that show an understandable narrative to the audience.
