Hi Greta - a question for you: how is the audience going to be 'taught' re. your fish metaphor? Right now, the only way I know this is actually about 'cells' is because I know what this project is really about - will anyone else? I think you need more scientific content and you need to orientate your audience - otherwise I predict the client will ask you to do this anyway.
As your concept is like a 'wildlife documentary' - have you considered a documentary-style voice over?

You might need something like: 'The human body is like the ocean...' etc. so we're introduced to the metaphor and we don't just read the content as being about 'mutant fish' and 'healthy fish'... what do you think?
Thanks for the feedback Phil. I have thought of voice-over to help communicate the idea, but I am really struggling with putting more science into the story. Would a voice-over be enough to explain what is happening and why, or should I try to add something visually into the story?
